CADETS FIND A PLACE TO BELONG
There are many boys in many neighborhoods who want to belong. They want to feel a part of something. They want to feel like they have accomplished something. They want to feel like someone cares about them. The cadetting ministries have the ingredients to fill those needs.
The cadetting ministry encourages learning the skills of and participating in the activities of the outdoorsman. Experiencing the presence of the Lord in His glorious creation builds a boy's character and helps him to become a faithful steward of God's world, an important lesson to be learned.
Cadets offers many core values that help boys feel important: Cadets promotes a "club" atmosphere where uniforms and a regular routine help to instill a healthy pride in its members. It offers merit badges and certificates to honor achievement and a safe haven where good behavior and productivity are expected.
Boys in grades 1-6 meet every other Wednesday of each month from 6:35 pm - 8:30 pm. Cadet meetings are held at First Reformed Church in Willmar
